 2006 chapter meeting 2004 – Homestay for a guest from Berlin, Germany.
Homestay for two young women from Tokyo, Japan. Three members attended the Regional Council meeting in Las Vegas. Homestay for a guest from Italy. Homestay for a guest from Holland. Five members attended the Worldwide Conference in Baveno, Italy. Prepared and sent a package for Operation Iraqi Children. 2005 – Held "1000 Nights" dinner in cooperation with Northridge United Methodist Church to raise funds and awareness for the Halo Project. We had a guest speaker. 126 persons attended and the event raised $3529. Hosted a diplomat from the Embassy of Uzbekistan under the program called Meet the Diplomat. Homestay for a guest from Denmark. 2006 – A member attended the European Council meeting in Denmark. Homestay for a guest from Switzerland. Homestay for a guest from Europe. PTPI encourages participation in a wide variety of programs that advance Peace through Understanding. Local chapters, such as PTPI LA, are made up of volunteers in communities worldwide who support these PTPI programs and participate in unique activities locally while reaching out at the international level.
